About the SIA London library: Library rules, and layout

Library rules

Please note the library rules:

• Water is allowed anywhere in the library


• Other drinks are only allowed on the ground floor


• Food is not allowed anywhere in the library


• Please do not make or receive phone calls anywhere in the library: please go right out to the cafe before you begin answering even a short call


• Because hot drinks are allowed there, dissertations may not be read on the ground floor.  The same applies to a very small number of other resources such as valuable historic books: we will let you know about these at the time you request them.  


• The top floor is for silent study only.
