The key libraries in London are likely to be:

• National Art Library at the V&A  
• British Library one of the three largest libraries in the world

Other libraries that may be useful include:  

• SOAS Library for Asian ceramics. Free access restricted to three visits a year
• Wallace Collection library, principally for studying ceramics in the Wallace's own collection
• Westminster Reference Library - gives access to the database Bloomsbury Design Library

WorldCat will find you books in other libraries worldwide.  Coverage is uneven; e.g. there are some major African cities with no libraries included.
