Journals and magazines: Ordering journals from store

How to find journals and magazines, and the articles within them, both online and in hard copy.

 

 

Many journals are in store elsewhere in the building and need to be fetched for you by the librarians. 

There may be gaps in the journal collection, so the dates you see when using the journal search box should be taken only as guides. Please follow the link from the search results to the book catalogue to see accurate details for the journal.

You can make a request by:

  • emailing library@sia.edu
  • calling us on +44 (0) 207 462 3230
  • filling in a form in the library

Please remember to let us know the title, date(s) and/or issue number(s). You can give a range if necessary, e.g. 2004-2005.

 

Some journals are stored off-campus. Clicking through to the full record in the book catalogue, you may see some have a status of OFF-CAMPUS. There will be a note explaining which years are off-campus.  (If no years are given, all are off-campus.) Here's an example:

 

Off-campus journals requested in the morning will hopefully arrive at some point the following working day. Journals requested in the afternoon will hopefully arrive the following day.  However please note there can be delays to the service.
