E-books in the collection Ebook Central are usually available in two formats: EPUB and PDF.
These e-books are difficult to cite in EPUB format, because the page numbers change according to the size of your screen. Therefore it is necessary to switch to viewing the e-book in PDF format when creating a footnote.
Here's how:
Firstly, check if you are viewing the book in EPUB format. The format looks like this:
Select the book icon in the top right hand corner of the screen:
On the next screen, select the Switch to PDF option:
You can now navigate to your chosen page and cite its number.
A few Ebook Central titles are only available in EPUB format. it is not possible to cite page numbers. Instead, you will have to cite the chapter number, or find another way of indicating where your passage occurs in the book. Consult the librarians if you need advice.
