MA students can borrow six books at a time (eight from the beginning of electives).

Study Abroad students can borrow four books at a time. 

Professional Course students enrolled on a course lasting ten weeks or more can borrow four books at a time.

Students on shorter courses cannot borrow, but re welcome to read books in the library.

There are three loan periods: 

• three days: some key texts
• one week: most books and pamphlets
• three weeks: books kept in the library store. Marked STORE in the library catalogue​

Items that cannot be borrowed:

• dissertations
• sales catalogues
• journals and newspapers
• not for loan/reference-only books
