MA students can borrow six books at a time (eight from the beginning of electives).

Study Abroad students on accredited courses can borrow four books at a time. Students on non-accredited courses are welcome to read books in the library.

Professional Course students enrolled on a course lasting ten weeks or more can borrow four books at a time. Students on shorter courses are welcome to read books in the library.

 

There are three loan periods: 

  • three days: some key texts
  • one week: most books and pamphlets
  • three weeks: books kept in the library store. Marked STORE in the library catalogue

Items that cannot be borrowed:

  • dissertations
  • sales catalogues
  • journals and newspapers
  • not for loan/reference-only books 

 

Students with an Individual Learning Plan have enhanced borrowing rights. Details will be discussed and confirmed with each student at the time the Plan is put in place.
