Key libraries in London for the study of photography include:

  • British Library 
  • National Art Library
  • Tate Library - includes very large collection of photobooks donated by Martin Parr
  • Westminster Reference Library
  • Women's Art Library (at Goldsmiths) - for feminist photographers

 

Other useful libraries in London include:

  • iniva - for British photographers of colour, and photography outside the West
  • National Portrait Gallery - for British portrait photography
  • SOAS - for Asian and African photographers.  Free access limited to three visits a year
  • Wiener Holocaust Library - for photography in relation to the Nazi period and other genocides
