This guide is a primer on conducting scholarly research remotely, highlighting the most fundamental, important, and most powerful resources available to Sotheby's Institute of Art, New York MA students, faculty, and staff.

Introduction to Online Library Resources at SIA-NY

This guide was developed while the physical Sotheby's Institute of Art, New York (SIA-NY) Library at 570 Lexington Avenue in Manhattan was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it should remain useful once the library reopens. The Library maintains hundreds of resources that are available to our community remotely; most require users to have SIA-NY Single Sign On (SSO) username and password, though some are freely available, and others require credentials that can be provided by the librarians.
